The Ferry Plantation House

The Ferry Plantation House is a 1830 brick plantation house. It faces the Western Branch of the Lynnhaven River. The third Princess Anne County courthouse was on this site. It is currently being renovated by Friends of the Ferry Plantation House, Inc. in partnership with the City of Virginia Beach. The house is open year round to the public.

Basic Information

Hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays 10 a.m. - 4p.m. (Last tour starts at 3:30 p.m.) Group and bus tours by reservation only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
If the Flag is flying, they are open for tours. Please pull the bell.

Helpful Information

The Ferry House Plantation is run by volunteer docents. Therefore we recommend you call before you go. The volunteer guides are very good, your visit helps restore the house, and save a little bit of history. The historic house is a work in process. Free parking is available at the Entrance.
