Your letter of the 25th inst is received informing me that you had drawn on the Honorable Secretary of the Navy for $14,000 to meet paymaster Ingersoll’s requisition of the 17th inst, under heads of appropriation viz.:
Contingent Yards & Docks $2000
Magazine Norfolk $2000
Hospital $1500
Navy Yard $8500
