 Dr. Eric G. Mitchell picture

Dr. Mitchell was born in Trinidad, to Maxwell P. and Edith Allen Mitchell. As an undergraduate, he attended St. Augustine’s College and Howard University. In 1940, he graduated the Boston College of Physicians and Surgeons.  He practiced medicine in Norfolk for many years, at Norfolk Community Hospital and the Norfolk Public Health Center, specializing in obstetrics. He was also employed as a visiting physician of the maternity ward at King’s Daughters Hospital.  Dr. Mitchell served as president of the Norfolk Medical Society. He was married to Dorothy Mitchell.
