Herman Aspegren

Herman Aspegren was born in 1878.  Little is known of his early life but he was well-known for being involved in civic life and politics in Norfolk for many years.  Aspegren served as the Swedish Vice Consul and over a decade.  In addition to his political career, he was the manager for the Portsmouth Cotton Oil and Refining Corp.  He also served as the President of the Norfolk Symphony Orchestra Association and served as a board member for many civic associations including the board of directors for Norfolk General Hospital.
