Lester Shields Parsons

Lester Parsons was born in 1886 in Lee County, Va. During the Second World War he was chairman of the war workers committee in Norfolk. He later worked as an attorney in Norfolk for many years in the law firm of Venerable, Miller, Pilcher, Parsons, and Kyle. He was long active in Virginia Republican politics as a committee member for the Republican National Committee. He unsuccessfully ran for the House of Representatives in 1924, the Virginia Attorney Generalship in 1945, and U.S. Senate in 1946. He passed away in 1960.
