The requisition of Purser S. Forrest at the Yard under your command, of the 18th inst for sixteen hundred and thirty four dollars and ninety one cents, has been approved, and I have this day drawn on the Secretary of the Navy, in his favor, for that sum under the following heads, of which you will apprise him there viz:
Navy Yard Norfolk $434.66
Pay of superintendents $931.66
Contingent expenses $105.64
Naval Hospital Norfolk $8.81
Naval Magazine at Norfolk $154.14
