I enclose herewith a letter from D. W. Collins of the 5th inst, to the Secretary of the Navy, which has been referred to this Bureau with directions to report the facts, and to furnish the title papers, in relation to the land on which the Naval Magazine near the Yard under your command is located.
I forward the letter of D. Collins for your information, with a request that you will be pleased to furnish a statement of the facts connected with this case, so far as the record of your office or other sources of respectability will enable you to do, with any additional information in regard to the title papers that you may possess or can obtain.
