Commandants Office
Navy Yard Gosport
Dec 11 1852

Sir,
To enable Mr. Brown to make a correct plan of the Hospital and Magazine grounds, it is necessary he should have papers numbered 5, 7, 8, 11, & 13 with the “copy of a plat” and “certificate of survey” on file in the Virginia Land Office on which is a grant referred to Miles King on 8th of April 1829 “no date to copy and marked E” referred to in paper numbered 9. All which were sent to the Bureau with letter from this office dated 2d December 1850. Will you be pleasured to send them.
Ensign Brown is now making an accurate & certified survey of the grounds; and hope to complete it in a few days after receipt of the papers above named.

I am Respectfully,
your obedient servant,
Sam. L. Breese
Captain
