Sir,
The contractor Mr. Jos Westcott, for building the pier at Fort Norfolk, proposes, through his attorneys Mrss Peters and Reed, to furnish the material, cut and fit a set of granite steps to the Pier, in accordance with the plan agreed upon, for the sum of two hundred and fifty ($250) dollars.
The Civil Engineer thinks this is a reasonable offer and I would respectfully ask whether it shall be excepted.
