Serious Accident 10 Febraury 1870

Serious Accident - We learned that a man named Jarvis, engaged at the Naval Magazine, at Fort Norfolk, was seriously injured yesterday morning by the explosion of a shell which he was handling. He was taken to the Naval Hospital for medical treatment.

We learned that he has a wife in Washington City, D. C., who has been telegraphed for to come on at once, as the injuries of her husband are of such a nature as to leave but little hope for his recovery.
