5th Regiment Virginia Militia

April 2, 1813

In pursuance of the above orders captain Wilkerson's company of Artillery and Capt. Edwards company of Infantry belonging to the 57th Regiment Virginia Militia were paraded in Leesburg, Loudon, on the 2nd day of April. Every exertion was made to equip them for the expedition, and on the 6th day of April they took up their line of march to the general rendezvous at Richmond, where they arrived on the 17th April.
