Adolphus was born about 1842 in Dinwiddie County Virginia.  He married Fanny Victoria Whitehorne on February 27, 1867 in Greensville County Virginia.  Adolphus and Fanny had 2 children:

August 19th 1864 for horse valued at Seventeen hundred dollars.  $1700.
I certify on honor that this horse the private property of Private A P Pool was mustered into service on the 5th of April by Capts Field and Chappell and that the said horse was killed in action with the enemy on the 19th of August at Front Royal Va.
